French Police Bust Highway Drug Smuggling Operation, Seize 6.5 kg Cannabis

The police had managed to arrest the two suspects, who were used to bringing cannabis resin from Spain to the Haute-Savoie region on a highway rest area in the Ain, reports Le Dauphiné Libéré. The two drug traffickers were traveling in an Opel Zafira. Their vehicle was transported to the Bardonnex border.

During the dismantling of the vehicle, carried out with the technical support of the Swiss Border Guard Corps, the police discovered 6.5 kilograms of cannabis resin carefully packaged, stamped Batman or under the Milka brand logo, hidden in the fuel tank. The merchandise was seized.

On Monday, the two drug traffickers were sentenced to 18 months in prison.
