French Pension Protests Disrupt Flights Between France and Morocco

Many flights between Morocco and France could be canceled on Wednesday, March 15 due to the mobilizations against the pension reform and the postponement of the legal retirement age to 64, which have been triggered since January. Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has already canceled two flights.
In a statement, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC) called on airlines to cancel 20% of their flights at Paris-Orly airport, following a new national strike notice filed by the minority air traffic control union USACcgt on Monday for Wednesday, March 15, 2023 for all DGAC agents. It calls for demonstrating against the pension reform and the postponement of the legal retirement age to 64.
These disruptions will begin on Tuesday evening and last until Thursday at 6:00 am, with "cancellations and delays to be expected," the administration specifies, also inviting passengers who can "to postpone their trip and to inquire with their airline to know the status of their flight."
Already, the national airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has canceled two flights to Orly from Marrakech and Casablanca, according to Flightradar24.
