French-Moroccan Man Arrested in Morocco with 1,259 kg of Cannabis Bound for Overseas

A French national of Moroccan origin was arrested by the Nador Police Brigade for his involvement in a drug case. The man was about to board a boat to a foreign country.
In a statement, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) indicates that a quantity of 1,259 kilograms of cannabis resin was seized in a utility vehicle that was about to embark for a foreign country. The cargo was hidden inside a car, the DGSN specifies, adding that the man is a French national of Moroccan origin.

Aged 37, he was taken into custody for the needs of the investigation before being brought before the police.
It should be noted that Morocco opened its borders on June 15 for the return of Moroccans residing abroad to their country of origin as well as foreign tourists. The only countries served by boat are, for the time being, France and Italy, while a maritime link is planned in the coming days with Portugal.
