French-Moroccan Comedian Mustapha El Atrassi Quits Stand-Up, Citing Personal Toll

French-Moroccan comedian Mustapha El Atrassi has withdrawn from the artistic scene in the most unexpected way. He describes a profession that has destroyed him from the inside every day.
"This profession is destroying me from the inside." Mustapha El Atrassi launched at the end of his show Game Over, addressing the audience in his usual frank manner. The serious tone of his voice captured the intrigued audience’s attention. "It was time for me to put an end to this parenthesis. [...] This profession is destroying me from the inside," he continued in front of the silent crowd, probably marked by the artist’s sincerity.
Mustapha El Atassi has had a long and rich career. That he should come to an end it by highlighting the difficulties that have marked his journey and push him further to withdraw, taking the care to delete all his videos from his Youtube channel as if he did not want to leave any trace of his passage in the profession. At the end of his speech, the artist simply concluded: "You will miss me" before leaving the stage to the audience’s ovations.
