French Montana’s "Unforgettable" Hits Diamond Status, Selling 10 Million Units

American rapper of Moroccan origin French Montana has earned a diamond record for "Unforgettable," his 2017 song performed as a duet with Swae Lee.
The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has awarded French Montana a diamond record for his song "Unforgettable," equivalent to 10 million records sold. The rapper celebrated this certification at his home on Wednesday with friends and associates such as Sylvia Rhone, CEO of Epic Records, and Sal Slaiby, co-founder and CEO of XO Records, reports Variety.
Released by Epic Records and Bad Boy Records on April 7, 2017 as the lead single from his second studio album Jungle Rules, "Unforgettable" was a huge success. Its video featuring the Ugandan dance troupe "Triplets Ghetto Kids" has amassed over 1.4 billion views on YouTube. "Most of them now live in the United States," French Montana said. For him, the diamond record is also a great victory for Morocco, his country of origin, and for the Bronx.
