French First Lady Receives Catalog of Successful Delacroix Exhibition in Morocco

Brigitte Macron received on Friday, from the hands of the President of the National Foundation of Museums of Morocco, Mehdi Qotbi, the catalog-book of the Eugène Delacroix exhibition, organized at the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMVI) in Rabat.
This exhibition, which took place from July 7 to October 9, was a great success. Titled "Delacroix, memories of a trip to Morocco", the exhibition was carried out in partnership with the Louvre Museum and the Eugène Delacroix National Museum in Paris. It was strongly supported by the French First Lady. In a statement to the MAP, the President of the National Foundation of Museums of Morocco indicated that he had expressed his sincere thanks to Brigitte Macron for her valuable support in organizing this exhibition at the MMVI.
The wife of Emmanuel Macron took the opportunity to send a message of friendship to Morocco, expressing the consideration and esteem she has for the Kingdom and King Mohammed VI "who attaches great importance to art and culture". She also specified that she is "very happy" to support the development of culture in Morocco.
The Eugène Delacroix exhibition is a tribute to the painter of the same name, who in 1832 spent several months in Morocco. This is the first time that an exhibition has been dedicated to him in Africa and in the Arab world.
