French Drug Lord to Face Trial After Year-Long International Manhunt

The trial of the alleged drug trafficker arrested, for the first time, in Morocco, then recently in Spain will take place on November 12. He had been on the run for a year.
The appearance of the 32-year-old from Vannes will be on Thursday, November 12, 2020 before the judicial court of Vannes, reports Le Télégramme. The arrest of the "boss" or drug baron gave the investigators a hard time. Prosecuted as part of the so-called Kercado 3 case, a thriving drug trafficking in Vannes from 2017 to 2019, the defendant was absent from the court in October. His twelve other alleged accomplices had received heavy sentences. The reason for his absence: he had been sentenced to seven years in prison in a previous drug case. The Spanish police had caught up with him after his second escape.
He takes advantage of a judicial thunderbolt to plan this escape. While he was waiting under lock and key for the judgment of his appeal trial, his lawyer Amar Bouaou managed to obtain an unexpected release, a week before the delivery of the judgment. He flees. This will be the second time. He had first escaped in 2017 and was later arrested in Morocco. For his second escape, Roberto will be arrested in Spain. Called for a case of violence, the Guardia Civil goes to the scene and then checks the fugitive. He was in possession of false papers. The Spanish police discovered that he was wanted by Interpol. Blanchedent is placed in detention, pending his extradition.
The defendant will now have to explain himself on the Vannes trafficking, the turnover of which is estimated at several million euros per year.
