French Driver Frédéric Baudry Dies in Tragic Accident at Morocco Rally

A French racing driver died from injuries sustained in an accident on Monday during the Rallye du Maroc near Zagora.
The motorsport world is in mourning. In a statement posted on social media, the organizers of the Rallye du Maroc announced that the French driver Frédéric Baudry, 46, who was participating for the second time in the event, was the victim of an accident in the dunes. Unfortunately, the French driver succumbed to his injuries. "He was quickly taken care of by the doctors of a medical helicopter which transported him to the hospital in Zagora where he unfortunately died at 4:45 pm," the organizers said, presenting "their sincere condolences to his family and loved ones."
On Facebook, the Nomade Racing team, which was accompanying Frédéric Baudry in the race, said it was "deeply moved by the tragic disappearance of Fred." And to add: "Our most sincere thoughts go first to his wife and children. Fred, prepare beautiful tracks for us up there! We would have so much wanted to accompany you to the end of your Dakar dream."
