French Celebrities Rally Support for Morocco After Devastating Earthquake

Several French personalities, close to Morocco, have expressed their solidarity following the violent earthquake that shook part of the kingdom on Friday night into Saturday.
Closely or remotely linked to Morocco, these French personalities, singers, actors, comedians, etc. have expressed their sadness on social networks. "Deeply moved by the tragedy that has struck Morocco tonight. Thoughts and support to all the victims and their families," wrote comedian Gad Elmaleh on Instagram, accompanied by a photo of the Moroccan flag.
Jamel Debbouze, born in France to Moroccan parents and promoter of the "Marrakech du rire" festival, also expressed his solidarity with Morocco. "Let’s help and contribute at our level to help Morocco and pray that lives will be saved in the hours and days to come," said the comedian.
Élie Semoun, another comedian of Moroccan origin, also expressed his solidarity with the kingdom. "My heart is bleeding and I can only be in solidarity," he said in an interview with BFMTV. "My thoughts go to the families of the victims of this tragedy, but also to my friends and loved ones on the spot," Arthur, a TV presenter born in Casablanca, also posted on Instagram.
Celebrities like Gims, residing in Morocco, La Fouine, a Franco-Moroccan rapper, Amine Harit, a Moroccan player playing for Olympique de Marseille, and many others, have also posted a message or a photo of the Moroccan flag as a sign of support.
