French Businessman Found Dead in Tangier, Police Launch Murder Investigation

Following the discovery of the lifeless body of a French businessman in Tangier, the judicial police have opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of his death.

Pending the results of the autopsy, the judicial police have opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the death of the French businessman found hanged inside his apartment and to identify the perpetrator(s) of the murder, reports Al Akhbar. The investigation has been extended to include the deceased’s relatives, as well as his employees in the company he was running. For its part, the French consulate in Tangier provided the police with additional information on the French investor. The investigations focus in particular on the movements of the deceased in Morocco and abroad.

The Frenchman lived alone and owned a large factory in the Mghougha industrial zone. It was a nauseating odor coming from an apartment on Mohammed V Avenue that alerted the neighbors. They informed the local authorities and the police, who went to the scene, where they found the lifeless body of this 73-year-old French businessman with adhesive tape around his neck and hanging inside his apartment. The septuagenarian is said to have committed suicide.
