French Actor Gérard Darmon Accused of Sexual Misconduct by Nine Women

The French actor Gérard Darmon, who also holds Moroccan nationality, is accused by nine women of sexist and sexual violence on sets between 2018 and 2024. For the moment, the septuagenarian is not the subject of any complaint.
The case is revealed by the magazine Politis which published on Wednesday the testimonies of nine alleged victims, who claim to have suffered verbal or physical violence from Gérard Darmon on sets made between 2018 and the summer of 2024. A technician, then an intern, confided to the weekly that the 78-year-old actor would have told her on a set: "We can make love, you can come to my house." Despite her refusal, Gérard Darmon would have harassed her and made hurtful remarks towards her: "He spoke to me extremely badly. He told me ’hello bitch, do you prefer that I call you bitch or little pig?’."
Contacted by the magazine, the producer of the film assured "having changed the intern’s job when she became aware of the facts." The technician, for her part, blames the production for not having "protected" her. In addition to this technician, two others accuse Gérard Damon of having made inappropriate remarks towards them during the same shoot. "His intentions are clear, even if I think that, for him, it is a ’joke’," recounts one of them.
However, "members of the production (on four shoots, editor’s note) have warned the people most in contact" with Gérard Darmon, but "without having a direct discussion with the actor," reveals the publication. Another victim testifies: "The only interaction he is capable of having with me is on my physique. I felt that my body was being spied on, scrutinized." She adds that she felt "totally insecure on the set."
A technician also revealed the note that the actor had written to her in her notebook at the end of the shoot of the film "What are we doing now?", released in October: "We didn’t talk much, but I watched you [sic] when you didn’t know it. And I liked it. See you soon." Gérard Darmon would also have distinguished himself negatively on the set of the film "Let’s love the living" in the summer of 2024, making "several humiliating remarks and sexist jokes" to a technician. Informed, the production "supported the technician" and "proposed that there be no more direct interaction with the actor." The latter denies all these accusations.
