Franz Ferdinand Drummer Exits World Tour After Freak Art Accident in Morocco

The drummer of the British group, Franz Ferdinand, was forced to abandon his tour after injuring his finger in Casablanca. The injury was caused by the fall of an "ugly art" painting during his visit to Morocco as part of the Jazzablanca Festival.
Paul Thomson will certainly no longer be part of the big tour planned by the British group Franz Ferdinand, in several major capitals of the world. Article19 reports that the Scottish-born group has indeed announced on Twitter that its drummer will not participate in the upcoming concerts, due to an accident that occurred in the lobby of their hotel in Casablanca.
Indeed, in the hotel where the group was staying, a work of art came loose from the wall and fell on the drummer’s hand, the group indicates in a Tweet. Moreover, Paul Thomson’s finger was "broken into small pieces and cannot hold a drumstick without feeling intense pain".
As a result, Franz Ferdinand will miss the series of concerts awaiting the group in France, Turkey and Georgia. It has already been announced that he will be replaced by Mike Evans, another not-so-minor percussionist. It was the group’s singer, known for his sense of humor, Alex Kapranos, who described the work of art as "really ugly".
