Franco-Moroccan Startup Unveils NamX HUV: Innovative Hydrogen Car with Swappable Tanks

The Franco-Moroccan manufacturer NamX, led by Moroccan Faouzi Annajah, in collaboration with the Italian coachbuilder Pininfarina, presented in Italy last May the NamX HUV, a futuristic vehicle with a main tank and six interchangeable hydrogen tanks.
The main feature of the NamX HUV is its interchangeable hydrogen tanks. The futuristic vehicle has a larger main tank and six other smaller ones, which come into operation as the others empty. The change only takes about 30 seconds and the six tanks can be easily exchanged.
The car can be reserved on the official NamX website. Its base version is 65,000 euros and the full version is 95,000 euros. The cheapest version, the GT, will have a 300 HP engine and can reach a top speed of 200 km/h and a range of 800 kilometers. The full or GTH version has two motors for a combined power of 550 HP and the same range as the GT.
This prototype presented last year could solve the problem of recharging hydrogen cars, like the Hyundai Nexo or the Toyota Mirai. The NamX HUV, a hydrogen-powered SUV coupe, should go into production in 2025.
