Jean-Séverin’s voice will no longer make us dream. He left, in the prime of life, on Wednesday, July 31, 2019. The entire African music sphere is in shock at the premature departure of this young 25-year-old talent. His death caused a shock wave among his loved ones, but also among African show business players.
He was the protégé of the lead vocalist, Asalfo, of the group "Magic system", who, like millions of viewers, had been seduced by Jean-Séverin’s performance in 2016. Asalfo still remembers it and pays tribute to him: "Jean-Séverin, you were one of my talents, in the 1st season of The Voice, for whom I had a special affection, you were so endearing. The last time we talked on the phone, you told me you were dreaming of doing the opening act for Magic System and we had promised to do it in Casablanca. Alas! God decided otherwise. We will miss you, Jean-Séverin. With the Asalfo Team, we are so sad. Go and rest in peace," the Magic System leader posted on his Facebook account.
Congolese star Lokua Kanza also paid tribute to the deceased: "What sad news!... Rest in peace, Jean-Séverin... it’s too soon... My condolences to the family."
On the web, Jean Sévérin’s many admirers and friends did not fail to support the family of the talented young man who passed away.
