Former Spanish Prosecutor Slams Morocco's Migration Policy and Spain's Border Defense

The former prosecutor of Zaragoza, Ramiro Grau, considers Morocco as "the enemy" of Spain. He denounces the kingdom’s policy of allowing hundreds of migrants to arrive in Ceuta and Melilla, and the passivity of the Spanish authorities who take no measures to repel these attacks.

"I don’t know who is more cowardly, the treacherous and corrupt politicians or the police commanders who are incapable of fulfilling their duty," Ramiro Grau told Alerta Digital. The former prosecutor of Zaragoza laments that the army is unable to fulfill its mission, that of "guaranteeing the sovereignty and independence of Spain, defending its territorial integrity and its constitutional order."

Ramiro Grau insists on this "inability" of Spain to defend its borders in Ceuta and Melilla. "What have we lost in Ukraine, by making enemies of Russia? Ceuta and Melilla are not protected by NATO which is controlled by the United States. Just like Ukraine, we will find ourselves alone when we are in conflict with Morocco," he explained.

The magistrate also notes that two million Moroccan immigrants live in Spain and do not contribute, for the most part, to the Spanish public treasury or social security. "They spend a lot on health care, send their children to school for free, benefit from the canteen, etc., while millions of poor Spaniards and their children are also in need and survive as best they can," he denounces.

The former prosecutor pleads for priority care for Spaniards before foreigners. "Spaniards first, and then foreigners, preferably Catholics, Christians and from Latin America, with whom we have strong cultural and social ties, as well as Filipinos, Guineans, Sahrawis, etc.," he said.
