Former Soccer Star Mustapha Hadji Falls Victim to $87,000 Jewelry Scam in Paris Hotel

Former Moroccan international, Mustapha Hadji, experienced the most incredible story of his life last August. Victim of a "rip deal", it was only on December 17 that the investigators managed to trace the chain.
On August 5, Hadji and his wife, wishing to get rid of several pieces of jewelry, took part in an online sale. In a hotel in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, the couple receives an interesting offer from the buyer, who has nevertheless taken the time to consult his partner.
Back, he presents a box filled with bills estimated at 100,000 euros, of which 80,000 euros for the Hadji couple. In a split second, the buyer seizes the jewelry and joins his partner. The two take off at full speed, leaving the couple stunned by the speed of the action.
Arrived on the scene, following the call of the former Atlas Lion, the police found the box containing 50 euro bills crossed out with the mention "facsimile".
Four Eastern European nationals were arrested by the police on December 17. Despite the searches carried out at their homes, the stolen jewelry was not found.
