Former Moroccan Minister Seeks Action After Stray Dog Attack in Tangier

The justice system has followed up on the complaint filed by Abdeslam Seddiki, former Minister of Employment, who was attacked by a stray dog. On the instructions of the public prosecutor’s office, the Tangier police heard him.
Bitten by a stray dog, Abdeslam Seddiqi, leader of the Party of Progress and Socialism, filed a complaint with the public prosecutor’s office against the Tangier city hall. Following the instructions of the public prosecutor’s office, the services of the city police prefecture summoned the former Minister of Employment, then heard him, reports the Arabic-language daily Al Akhbar.
The former minister’s wish is to obtain not only financial compensation from the city hall, but above all to encourage those who have been attacked by stray dogs like him to go to court, in order to encourage the implementation of a strict regulatory framework governing this issue. In Morocco, the proliferation of stray dogs in cities is increasingly worrying the population, who are also calling for urgent and effective measures.
After hearing the plaintiff, that of the mayor of Tangier should be scheduled very soon.
