Former Moroccan International Adil Hermach Takes Helm at Struggling Nîmes Olympique

Nîmes Olympique has fired Frédéric Bompard and replaced him with former Moroccan international Adil Hermach, 37, whose mission is to prevent the club from dropping to National 2. A homecoming for the former midfielder and captain of RC Lens.

Promoted to Nîmes Olympique where he was trained before doing his post-training at Racing and experiencing a rise to Ligue 2 and Ligue 1, Adil Hermach replaced Frédéric Bompard last Monday. During the 2022-2023 season, he follows the training for the higher state diploma of youth, popular education and sport (DESJEPS) at the CNF Clairefontaine and becomes a high-level coach, sports director. Before his appointment, Adil was the coach of Nîmes Olympique’s reserve team.

The new coach of Nîmes Olympique has the heavy task of working for the club’s maintenance in National 1. Currently, the club is in difficulty: 14th with 32 points (seven wins this season), i.e. 2 points behind Marignane, 12th and first non-relegation. The fourth of the 2005 FIFA U-20 World Cup will have to work his magic during the next six games.
