Former Hirak Activist Turns Street Vendor to Support Family After Prison Release

The former Hirak detainee from the Rif, El Mortada lamrachen, had no choice but to go out on the street to sell trinkets. Like his late father, he was forced to venture into small business in order to provide for his small family.
Imprisoned three years ago, the former companion of Zefzafi is now free to move around. Since his release from prison, he can no longer make ends meet and provide for his family.
Heavily in debt, he chose to start selling small items just like his father. According to Alyaoum24, the former detainee had unsuccessfully sought work before making this choice. In the process, he received financial support from his brothers and sisters as well as his mother.
Father of a young boy, he wants to play his role properly at all costs. Photos of his small stall shared on the web have moved internet users who have saluted the initiative of El Mortada lamrachen, who was granted royal pardon last July.
