Former Dutch Footballer Dies in Cliff-Jumping Accident in Majorca

The former Dutch footballer and current kickboxing coach, Mourad Lamrabatte, died on Thursday in Majorca after jumping from a cliff of about 22 meters on the Malgrats Islands (Majorca). According to the autopsy, he died by drowning.
Lamrabatte climbed the cliff on Thursday until he reached the top, before jumping into the sea. But in his fall, he crashed against the rocks. His partner, who was in a boat with their two children, filmed the entire scene. His body was recovered the same day by the Special Group of Underwater Activities (GEAS) of the Civil Guard.
According to the results of the autopsy performed on Friday and accessed by Última Hora, Lamrabatte died by drowning and not from his fall against the rocks. He was unconscious and seriously injured in the hip, arm and legs, but was still alive when he fell into the water, the autopsy reveals.

"Vitesse has received the sad news of the death of Mourad Lamrabatte at the age of 31. We wish the family and friends a lot of strength," Vitesse posted on its Twitter account.
His kickboxing coach, Mesut Cam, also paid tribute to him. "We will miss you, Mourad. I’ve always called you the Moroccan lion. That’s what you’ll always be for me," he wrote in a post on Facebook.
