Former British Ambassador Thomas Reilly Returns to Morocco for Personal Visit

Former British Ambassador to Morocco, Thomas Reilly, has returned to Morocco for a private stay. On his Twitter account, the diplomat seems moved to rediscover the colors and warmth of Morocco.
Since he left Morocco, following the appointment of his successor, this is the first time that Thomas Reilly, who currently lives in France, has returned to Morocco for a private stay. "It’s wonderful to be back in Morocco. Such a warm welcome. I look forward to going for a walk tomorrow to see Rabat in all its glory," he wrote on his Twitter account.
The ambassador says he is moved and enthusiastic to return to a country that has marked him. He announced on the same social network that he should spend 10 days between Rabat and Marrakech to visit friends, "eat good Moroccan food and drink mint tea," he wrote.
"Wonderful to hear the call to prayer again this morning. I lived for many years listening to the Adhan in different countries. I miss hearing it. So evocative, timeless and beautiful. Thank you Rabat," he tweeted on Sunday.
