Former Barcelona Prospect Maximiliano Rolón Dies in Car Crash at 27

Former Argentine striker of FC Barcelona, Maximiliano Brian Rolón, died on Saturday in a traffic accident, at the age of 27. His teammates from Atletico Chabas as well as several players including Moroccan Munir El Haddadi, expressed their grief on social media.
Maximiliano Brian Rolón had a terrible accident on a road in Santa Fe. At the wheel of a Fiat Punto in which his brother Ariel was also present, the Argentine footballer lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree. Both passengers died on the spot.
Upon hearing of his death, several of his friends, including Moroccan striker Munir El Haddadi of FC Seville, expressed their grief on social media. "Rest in peace, my friend," the Moroccan wrote on his Instagram account, accompanied by crying face and heart emojis.
"We have no words to express so much pain. On this occasion, the fans, sympathizers and leaders unite to express their solidarity with the Rolón family and say goodbye to Maximiliano and Ariel," the Club Atlético Chabás said in a statement published on Facebook.
Born in Rosario, Maxi Rolón joined Barcelona’s youth academy, La Masía, at the age of 15 - where Lionel Messi was also trained - and later joined the club’s youth team, with which he won the Youth Champions League. In 2014-2015, he terminated his contract with the Spanish club and continued his career until landing at Atletico Chabas.
