Forbes Names Moroccan Activist Amina Zakhnouf Among Africa’s Top 30 Under 30 Influencers

The American magazine Forbes has compiled a ranking of the Top 30 Africans under 30 who are the most influential. Among them, the Moroccan Amina Zakhnouf.
The special issue celebrating the magazine’s decade has highlighted the journey of the young Moroccan, as well as her initiatives in favor of African youth. At 26 years old, Amina Zakhnouf is the head of the association Je M’engage pour l’Afrique, co-founded with the Togolese Ileana Santos, who was also identified in the ranking.
Launched 18 months ago, this association aims to provide the tools to think about Africa’s future. It is an incubator of public policies of a new kind that has been spotted by the magazine. Within "Je M’engage pour l’Afrique", the reflections and proposals aim to find the best relations between the continent and Europe and above all to rethink development aid.
To achieve its objective, the association has chosen to rely on African diasporas, who thus bring their visions of Africa. "We are pleased that our proposals are resonating. The work we are doing is not in vain."
"It is an honor and a pleasure to be part of it," said Amina Zakhnouf. And she added: "Forbes Africa has seen in us an original vision and a real willingness to act. They appreciated that we had the audacity to say that such an initiative could exist."
