Mohamed Benchaaboun, at the head of the historical operator Maroc Telecom, is featured alongside regional giants such as Peng Xiao (G42), Hatem Dowidar (e&) or Olayan Alwetaid (stc Group). This distinction comes at a pivotal moment for the region. According to the 2025 Deloitte report, more than 80% of local organizations feel an urgent pressure to adopt AI, with consumer adoption in the UAE and Saudi Arabia now exceeding European rates.
To establish this ranking, Forbes relied on rigorous criteria: the impact of the leader on the domestic and regional market, global experience, the financial performance of the company, as well as the technological initiatives and strategic investments made during the past year.
In addition to the CEOs of local companies, the ranking also highlights public sector leaders, led by Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti (UAE Cybersecurity), and regional leaders of multinationals, dominated by Ronaldo Mouchawar of Amazon.
