A new football stadium in Agadir

The facility will be built on the current site of the Al Hussein Moudanib stadium, covering an area of about eight hectares. This new facility will complement the city’s sports offering alongside the large Adrar stadium, which is undergoing major rehabilitation to host the 2030 World Cup matches.

The first deputy mayor of the municipal council stated that this infrastructure responds to a "popular demand" from the residents of Agadir. According to the elected official, it has become imperative for the metropolis to have several high-level sites to support its sports and urban development.

"The council will actively contribute to the creation of this stadium in order to develop the city’s sports infrastructure," the elected official said during the extraordinary session of the council.

The future management of this stadium will require an estimated annual budget of ten million dirhams. This constraint requires the local authorities to seek administrative supervision formulas that comply with international standards, in order to ensure the sustainability and maintenance of the site in accordance with global standards.
