Food Poisoning Outbreak Sickens Dozens at Moroccan Student Forum in El Jadida

While at the beginning there was talk of about forty people poisoned during a national forum for students held in El Jadida, the figure has risen to 50 and then to 80. And 600 students were present and ate the same meal.
600 students from different universities and faculties in Morocco were participating in the national forum for student creativity, organized at the ENCG of El Jadida by the Organization for Student Renewal. And we are already talking about 80 cases of poisoning. A figure which, moreover, risks climbing and which has already gone from 40 to 50 before reaching the current number.
The analyzes would be underway to know the cause of this collective intoxication, according to the regional delegate of Health in El Jadida. There was chicken and fish on the menu for this lunch...
The poisoned people were urgently evacuated to the social security polyclinic of El Jadida as well as to the provincial hospital Mohamed V to receive the necessary care.
This forum started on March 24 and will continue until March 31 under the theme "for a university at the heart of the development model".
