Flemish Youth Council President’s Family Home Raided: 20 Kilos of Cocaine Discovered

The Antwerp police discovered last week a bag containing 20 kilos of cocaine, as well as a cannabis stash, in the home of the mother of Amir Bachrouri, the president of the Flemish Youth Council. The young man of Moroccan origin claims his innocence in this case.
Who could have hidden drugs and cannabis at the home of Amir Bachrouri’s parents in Antwerp? The president of the Flemish Youth Council points the finger at a family member who had full access to the house. After being questioned, the young man, his mother and his sister were released by the police.
After the discovery, "my mother, my sister and I were briefly questioned. Of course, we have provided our full cooperation and have been allowed to return home," writes Bachrouri. "Without our knowledge, this amount of drugs was hidden in my mother’s house by a family member. We are shocked and devastated by this breach of trust. We have full confidence in the continuation of the judicial investigation and we will cooperate fully."
He also describes a difficult situation for his entire family, hoping "sincerely that the responsible person will receive the appropriate punishment," he wrote.
