Five-star accommodation and luxury: What Morocco plans for its official delegation to Mecca
The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs has launched an international tender for the organization of the pilgrimage of the Moroccan official delegation for the 1447 season, with an estimated budget of 5 million dirhams.
According to the terms of the contract, the selected service provider will have to ensure high-end logistical support for the 22 members of the Kingdom’s delegation. The specifications require accommodation in individual rooms in five-star establishments, located imperative in the central areas of Mecca and Medina, in the immediate vicinity of the Holy Sites.
The contract includes the management of transportation, including round-trip international flights as well as the permanent provision of a modern tourist bus for domestic travel. A full-board formula is required, guaranteeing daily meals and continuous access to refreshments throughout the stay.

The selected operator will also be required to provide the usual financial guarantees, cover the risks through travel insurance, and coordinate all formalities with the Saudi authorities.
