A fire broke out on Tuesday, December 10, in the early afternoon in the basement of the main headquarters of the Société Générale Marocaine des Banques on Boulevard Abdelmoumen in Casablanca.
According to the initial findings made by the authorities, the fire would have been caused by a short circuit in an electrical installation. Nevertheless, no information on the material damage caused has been communicated.
According to Aljarida24, the fire created a state of panic among the bank’s staff, who rushed to leave the premises.
The fire was brought under control in the afternoon thanks to the rapid intervention of the Civil Protection services, while an investigation has been launched by the police to determine the exact circumstances.
