FIFA World Cup Qualifier: Guinea Seeks to Host Morocco Match in Senegal Amid Political Unrest

The match counting for the 2nd round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers between the Atlas Lions and the Guinean Sily National, postponed, could be held in Dakar. This is the wish of the officials of the Guinean Football Federation who have addressed a letter to FIFA, CAF and the Senegalese authorities.
Guinea and Morocco were supposed to face each other in Conakry on September 5, but the political and security situation there decided otherwise.
In order to find a solution for the continuation of the adventure, the officials of the Guinean federation have just requested authorization to play their next matches in Senegal, indicate local media.
"To avoid Guinea continuing to play single matches abroad, the FEGUIFOOT has decided to write to FIFA and CAF to request the organization of its international matches in Dakar (Senegal), pending the normalization of the situation," declared the general secretary of the federation, Maurice Akoi Koivogui, to the media.
And to add that "in the same vein, we have sent a letter to the Senegalese Football Federation to see if we can organize our international matches in the Senegalese capital for the time being."
If this request is accepted by the international football authorities, the Atlas Lions could play this match next month.
