FIFA Selects Moroccan Trio to Officiate at 2023 Women’s World Cup

Moroccan referees are in demand in current international competitions. After their brilliant performance at the U-17 World Cup in India, the trio of Moroccan referees, Bouchra Karboubi, Soukaina Hamdi and Fatiha Jarmouni, have been appointed by FIFA to officiate at the 2023 Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
Bouchra Karboubi will be the main referee, Fatiha Jarmouni and Soukaina Hamdi, her assistants. Adil Zourak will also represent the Moroccan whistle from the VAR booth during this competition, which is jointly organized by Australia and New Zealand next summer, and which will see the first participation of the Lionesses of the Atlas in a World Cup.
Perhaps this time, Fatiha Jarmouni will have the chance to whistle the final as she did in India where she officiated the final between Spain and Colombia.
