FIFA Scrambles to Reschedule Morocco-Guinea World Cup Qualifier Amid Political Crisis

The match between Morocco and Guinea, which should have been held on Monday, September 6, but was postponed due to the political crisis in Guinea, is having trouble finding a date. FIFA finds itself faced with a difficult equation, but one that will have to be solved quickly, in order to allow the two teams to move forward.
The rescheduling of the aborted match between the Atlas Lions and the Syli National will depend on the schedule of the two teams. FIFA is in full negotiations with the FRMF and the Guinean Football Federation to find a time slot that suits everyone in terms of date and host country for this competition, reports the daily Assabah.
A source within the FRMF indicated that to be on time, the match must take place in the middle of this week. A situation that does not suit Morocco, whose internationals must return to their respective clubs to resume training.
They have also been called to order by these clubs, which hope that the FRMF will be understanding and allow the internationals to leave, complete the formalities before resuming training.
