FIFA Lauds Morocco’s Football Talent Development Program as Model for Success

The performances and efforts made by Morocco in the Talent Development Program launched in February 2020 by Arsène Wenger have seduced the international football body. In an article published on its official website, FIFA considers that Morocco is an example to follow.
FIFA is in awe of Morocco’s prowess in football development. The international football body notified it on its website, Saturday, referring to the progress of the Talent Development Program workshop launched in February 2020 by Arsène Wenger, Director of Global Football Development at the International Football Federation.
It was in this context that last June, development experts and technical advisors met at the Mohammed VI Football Complex to focus on talent development strategies. According to FIFA, "the Royal Moroccan Football Federation is an example to follow in this field, as it spares no effort in this direction and advocates football for all."
FIFA cites, among other things, the determination of the FRMF to make available to athletes, infrastructures, such as the inauguration in 2019 of the Mohammed VI Complex, whose facilities meet international standards and which represents one of the most important and efficient sports complexes in the world.
In addition to making state-of-the-art infrastructure available for the development of football at the national and local levels, FIFA also emphasizes the strategies put in place to detect talent from the school level. "The development of infrastructure is accompanied by a school component, to try to tighten the meshes of the net even more and not miss any potential talent [...] the talent is there, the infrastructure too. All that was missing were the competent people to get the most out of this potential," the football body wrote in its article.
