Fez Court Sentences 17 in Massage Parlor Prostitution Ring

Prosecuted for a case of prostitution in massage and spa parlors in Fez, 17 individuals were sentenced to various prison terms by the Court of Appeal of the city.
The criminal chamber of the Court of First Instance of the Court of Appeal of Fez sentenced 17 people prosecuted in the case of the prostitution network in massage parlors and modern baths (Spa) in Fez. In detail, eight of them - women, including 7 who are the owners of massage parlors - were sentenced to 3 years in prison and a fine of 40,000 dirhams, while two other defendants were sentenced to 6 months in prison. Four other defendants were sentenced to 4 months in prison with probation, while one was acquitted.
These individuals were prosecuted for human trafficking on minors under 18, possession, drug trafficking and prostitution. Their arrest took place on May 19, 2022 as part of a control operation carried out in unauthorized massage parlors in Fez, says a source contacted by Le360. The entrance fee was between 200 and 250 dirhams and the sexual acts were priced between 300 and 1,000 dirhams. That day, agents from the regional judicial police brigade in Fez had arrested 53 people, including 35 women and a 17-year-old minor.
