Morocco Cracks Down on Illegal Activities in Massage Parlors Across Major Cities

The Moroccan authorities have launched a major crackdown operation against massage parlors that have been transformed into places of debauchery in metropolises like Rabat, Casablanca, Marrakech and Fez. Several dozen masseuses and clients have already been arrested and brought before the courts.
The police launched this operation after receiving several complaints from residents of several neighborhoods in these major cities, denouncing the transformation of these massage parlors into "places of debauchery," sometimes with the complicity of local authorities, reports Maghreb Intelligence.
According to sources from the site, some salons, in addition to using the premises for debauchery purposes, also use them to carry out other illegal activities such as drug trafficking or human trafficking through the exploitation of underage girls. The authorities have decided to put an end to this phenomenon, which has grown with the Covid-19 crisis.
