Ferry Service Resumes Between Spain’s Almeria and Morocco’s Nador, Restoring Key Maritime Link

The maritime link between the port of Almeria and that of Nador is fully restored. On Wednesday, 53 passengers and 45 trucks and vans of goods embarked on the Wasa Express ferry of the shipping company Balearia, from the port of Almeria to Nador.
The ship left the Spanish port on Wednesday at 11 p.m., the Port Authority of Almería (APA) said in a note, recalling that passengers with vehicles will also be able to embark for Nador on April 18. Thus, maritime passenger traffic between Almeria and Nador is fully restored, reports Diario de Almeria.
In 2019, before the closure of the maritime borders with Morocco, more than 950,000 passengers transited through the port of Almeria, of which more than 50% were to or from Nador.
