Ferry Repatriates 500 Stranded Spaniards from Morocco Amid Travel Restrictions

A first wave of Spaniards stranded in Morocco after the suspension of flights with Spain have just been repatriated to Algeciras via a Balearia ferry.
The first ferry chartered by the Spanish embassy in Rabat for the repatriation of Spanish citizens or residents stranded in Morocco after the suspension of flights with Spain, left the port of Tanger-Med for Algeciras this Sunday.
About 500 people were transported on Sunday on the Balearia company ship. Next Tuesday, another repatriation of Spaniards will be carried out via a Trasmediterránea ship.
Special flights are also scheduled this Sunday by the Iberia airline, from Casablanca to Madrid. Interested parties will have to present a negative PCR test dated less than 72 hours.
