Fenerbahçe Captain Dirar Nearly Exits Match After Fan Backlash in 6-1 Loss to Bayern Munich

The modest performance of Fenerbahçe’s Nabil Dirar, against Bayern Munich on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, provoked the anger of the supporters who deplored the heavy 6-1 defeat suffered by the Turkish team. The whistles seem to have particularly affected the Moroccan.
In the 72nd minute of the match, the Moroccan international, who wore the captain’s armband, lost his temper, following the whistles from the public, and threw the ball out of bounds, before heading to the locker room. The coach and his teammates fortunately dissuaded him from abandoning the game.
Despite the friendly nature of the match, the supporters did not tolerate the defeat against the Bavarian giant, especially since the matches between Germans and Turks have always aroused strong emotions.
The Turkish Fenerbahçe team will have to face Real Madrid in the classification match of the 2019 Audi Cup, which takes place at the Allianz Arena in Munich. The Spanish team had lost 1-0 to the English club Tottenham.
