FBI and CIA Praise Morocco’s Intelligence Agency for Crucial Role in Thwarting Terrorist Threat

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the US intelligence agency (CIA) sent messages of congratulations and gratitude to the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST). They thanked it for its contribution to the fight against terrorism.
The head of the New York section of the FBI expressed his deep gratitude and sincere thanks for the cooperation and significant support provided by the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance, in particular the accurate information that was provided in a timely manner, and which helped contribute to the neutralization of a dangerous terrorist, the DGST statement said.
This information also helped accelerate the FBI’s investigation into the American soldier linked to the Daesh organization who was planning a terrorist act targeting American soldiers, the same source said. "Thanks to the cooperation and strong partnership between the DGST and the FBI, we are able together to ensure the security of our countries and the safety of our citizens, and to ensure security for all," the US intelligence service said.
The CIA headquarters in Washington says it is "grateful for the leadership and high level of professionalism of the DGST, as part of our common security efforts, including those deployed in the fight against terrorism and extremist groups," the same source said. The US agency also welcomes the solid partnership it has with the DGST services.
These messages of thanks and gratitude from the US security agencies come following the accurate information provided by the DGST about the extremist activities of an American soldier, who was preparing terrorist acts targeting American interests and soldiers in the Middle East.
