US Army Soldier Arrested in ISIS-Linked Terror Plot Foiled by Moroccan Intelligence

Morocco through the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST) provided useful information to the United States, which managed to thwart bloody attacks. A radicalized US Army soldier who was preparing these attacks with the complicity of ISIS has been curbed in his momentum.
The Moroccan services in charge of counter-terrorism were able to avoid a bloodbath, both on American soil and against US Army soldiers deployed in the Middle East, reports News Talk Florida. This information had been revealed last week by the US Department of Justice, without any details being provided.
According to the American site, the person involved is called Cole James Bridges. He is a private first class in the US Army who had become radicalized in recent months. In the meantime, he had made contact with ISIS jihadists. Worse, he had provided them with precise information so that they could prepare attacks against American soldiers deployed in the Middle East, and against the 9/11 Memorial, in the heart of New York.
The DGST had reported the soldier’s activities to US intelligence services in September 2020. The following month, an FBI agent contacted Cole, making him believe he was an ISIS jihadist. The aim was to find out the intentions of the radicalized soldier and the extent of the aid he was about to provide to the terrorist organization. During a joint operation carried out by the FBI and the army’s counterintelligence service, Cole was arrested and then presented before a federal prosecutor on January 21.
