Faudel: "I am of Algerian origin, Moroccan nationality, and we are one people

For Faudel, Morocco has succeeded in its bet. The organization of this Africa Cup goes beyond the simple sporting framework to become a showcase of Moroccan know-how, he explains to Al3omk. He believes that the Kingdom is sending an "honorable image" thanks to its high-level stadiums and infrastructure, proof of the experience accumulated in hosting major global events.

Beyond logistics, Faudel spoke on a sensitive subject: Moroccan-Algerian relations. Far from the clashes on social networks, he assures that the reality on the ground is made "of love and mutual respect".

"Events like the Arab Cup or the CAN have shown, through viral videos, the true rapprochement between the two peoples. Fundamentally, we are one people," he said, wishing the joint success of the two nations. He himself defines himself as a bridge between cultures: born in France, of Algerian origin and proud holder of Moroccan nationality, he now lives in the Kingdom.

On the musical level, Faudel is making a mark with the release of "Champions", a festive title in collaboration with Abdelhafid Douzi and the international singer Mohombi.

An important fact: this song was entirely self-financed by the artists, without any official support. "We wanted this song to remain a memory for our children and grandchildren, linked to this historic moment," he explains. He insisted that the clip be shot collectively with Douzi, whom he considers a "brother", rather than recording separately.
