Fatal Bus Crash in Southern France Leaves 1 Dead, 17 Injured on Barcelona-Bordeaux Route

A serious accident occurred on Sunday, October 6th on the A61 motorway, southwest of Narbonne. A Flixbus coach, traveling the Barcelona-Bordeaux route, overturned on the side of the road, causing 1 death and 17 injuries, including 3 Moroccans.
According to La dépêche, the tragedy, the circumstances of which could not be determined, occurred around 12:30 pm on Sunday. A 21-year-old woman was killed after being ejected from the vehicle, while 17 other passengers were injured.
3 Moroccan nationals with minor injuries were urgently transported to the hospital to receive the necessary care. The Moroccan diplomatic services attached to the Consulates of Toulouse and Montpellier went to the hospital to closely monitor the health of the Moroccan citizens.
According to the first elements of the investigation, the 50-year-old driver had to lose control of the bus, which had slid "more than 150 meters". She was taken into custody, pending the completion of the toxicological tests.
