Far-Right Vox Party Opposes Moroccan Culture Courses in Andalusian Schools

The far-right party Vox in Córdoba plans to present a motion at the next municipal council session to request "the immediate halt of the program promoted by Juanma Moreno’s government aimed at introducing Moroccan culture courses in Andalusian schools."
The announcement was made by Vox’s spokesperson in Córdoba, Paula Badanelli, who explained that "this initiative directly affects schools and represents a serious cultural interference and a setback for the values and freedoms that define our society."
"Vox will not allow a culture incompatible with ours to be promoted in classrooms. Our priority must be to teach our history, our traditions, and our values, not to allocate public funds to promote social models that contradict fundamental rights," she stated.
The Vox spokesperson also criticized the state of education in Andalusia, denouncing "the deterioration of schools, the lack of aid for Spanish families, and the overload on teachers" and deeming "unacceptable" the implementation of programs that "promote values contrary to constitutional values."
"In Morocco, homosexuality is criminalized, restrictive roles are imposed on women, and adultery is criminalized. Is this what Juanma Moreno wants to teach our children?" Badanelli questioned, adding that her party will not accept that a "foreign culture that limits freedoms" be imposed in Andalusia.
