Far-Right Vox Party Demands Morocco Recognize Spanish Control of Ceuta and Melilla

The Vox party, the Ceuta section, demands that Morocco recognize the "Spanishness" of Ceuta and Melilla before any resumption of relations. It also demands that the borders remain permanently closed to limit migratory flows from the kingdom.
Juan Sergio Redondo and Carlos Verdejo of the far-right formation have demanded, during a press conference, that in reaction to Morocco’s attitude which would have allowed massive entry of migrants into Ceuta on May 17 and 18, the local and national authorities take drastic measures. Vox in particular demands that the authorities require Morocco to recognize the "Spanishness" of Ceuta and Melilla before any resumption of relations, reports El Faro de Ceuta.
The openly anti-Moroccan party also demands that they "expel" migrants in an irregular situation because they "create insecurity", or failing that, that they take "measures to identify them and confine them in the Tarajal and Piniers hangars in the case of minors, and in the former Los Rosales prison as regards adults". This demand from the far-right party is unacceptable because it is contrary to the law, analyzes the same source.
"For a month, Vox has been defending that the fact of giving food to migrants has a counterproductive character. We have been criticized, insulted and demonized by the media. Today, we are greatly surprised to see that a month later, the delegate proposes the same thing," denounced Redondo who supports that this practice must be fought and sanctioned "because it encourages the creation of colonies of migrants in an irregular situation throughout the city".
The party also demands "legislative changes to allow the immediate repatriation of unaccompanied foreign minors (MENA)", continues Redondo who calls on the authorities to "strengthen the security and control system", pending the publication of the new law. According to Redondo, the presence of these MENA is a "problem orchestrated by Morocco to destroy the efforts of the city, knowing that the management of migratory flows before the migratory crisis was already disastrous". For Vox, Morocco is therefore "guilty" and "responsible" for "the current chaotic migration situation" and also wants to "stifle" Ceuta and Melilla to "demand their annexation", adds Redondo.
