Extreme Heat Wave Grips Morocco and Spain, Temperatures to Soar Near 50°C

A mini heat dome is announced in Morocco and Spain at the end of the week. Temperatures will reach 48°C in Andalusia and in part of the Kingdom.
The heat wave that has hit the Maghreb countries in recent days is the cause of the rise of hot air in Spain, reports L’Indépendant. Temperatures reach up to 50°C in the shade in southern Algeria and Tunisia. "We have very, very hot air currently present in the Maghreb, we are in extremely high temperatures with temperature records in Algeria among others," explains Frédéric Nathan, a forecaster at Météo France.
The weather forecasts indicate that four days of heat wave are expected in Spain from Friday, July 9 to Monday, July 12, 2021. The very hot air mass from North Africa will drive up temperatures. Very high temperatures close to heat records will be recorded during this month of July.
The highest temperature is expected in Andalusia. At least 48°C. What about the Pyrenees? "The hottest air should remain at the level of the Pyrenees, we are not even sure that it will rise north of the Iberian peninsula," specifies Météo France.
