Experts: Belgian Matricide Suspect Diagnosed as Psychopath, Mentally Competent

Mohamed Boughaiout, 33, who committed matricide is a psychopath and has a manipulative character. This is what psychologist Laurent Devoitille and psychiatrist Gérard Charles declared before the Liège Assize Court.
For psychologist Laurent Devoitille, Mohamed Boughaiout exhibits all the specific signs that determine a clearly psychopathic personality, reports Belga.
For his part, psychiatrist Gérard Charles stated that the accused does not have a mental disorder that prevents him from realizing the scope of his actions. "He knows what he is doing and for what purpose," he suggested. The expert opinions of the psychologist and psychiatrist also proved that Mohamed Boughaiout has the qualities worthy of a manipulator.
Placed under electronic surveillance in May 2017 during his last conviction, the accused was in training at an association. According to his social worker, Fatima El Mezouar, Mohamed’s mother was ashamed of her son. The reason being the previous acts he had committed against the rest of the family.
Unfortunately, Fatima El Mezouar, 62, will not live long enough to help her son get back on the right track, to become a real man after these bad turns. Mohamed Boughaiout killed her on October 20, 2017 in Liège to put an end to the suffering he is convinced he is the source of.
