European Investors Flock to Marrakech’s Luxury Real Estate Market
European real estate investors are increasingly attracted to the main tourist city of Morocco, Marrakech. This choice is justified by the high-end offer of the ochre city.
The 2008 economic crisis has not completely taken away the desire to inject capital into European investors. The Belgians and the French have been back for three years, driven by the desire to buy second homes. They are attracted by high-quality products, reports the Belgian newspaper L’Echo, and reprinted by InfoMédiaire.
Thus, charm operations are much more directed towards wealthy Belgian investors, notes the same body. L’Echo, moreover, reports on the meeting organized last month, called "Label CAC 40-Bel 20". It brought together a large number of French and Belgian personalities, around one of the most prosperous golf courses, within a residential complex.
This complex is located a few minutes from the airport and in the heart of the red city. It is located at the level of fashionable seaside resorts, with an excellent view of the snow-capped peaks of the Atlas. This could not have been better, to reassure the invited bosses, for the cause, reports the same source.
These assets, promoted by the initiators of the project, succeeded in convincing the wealthy participants to put their hand in their pocket, either to rent, or to buy, for the most part, for the comfort of their family, notes the Journal. For Afif Salibi, Head of the hotel establishment, the ochre city is regaining its position as a tourist city, for Europeans. In less than a day, these tourists join Marrakech. This destination is all the more interesting, given the increasingly attractive offers of Belgian, French or Swiss airlines.
