Engine Issue Halts Royal Air Maroc Flight in Nantes Before Takeoff

A Royal Air Maroc (RAM) airline flight between Nantes and Casablanca was forced to turn back on Friday, shortly before takeoff.
As the RAM plane was heading towards the takeoff runway and was supposed to take off at 6:35 pm, an engine problem was reported from the cockpit, explains the communication service of Nantes airport. The aircraft was forced to turn back to the aircraft parking lot.
After the immobilization of the plane, the firefighters quickly arrived on the parking lot. They proceeded to checks, and to the evacuation of the 171 unharmed passengers. They were then accommodated in a hotel for the night.
Mechanics also quickly intervened, reports La Dépêche. On Saturday, Nantes airport said that tests are underway and a decision will be made afterwards. The departure of the plane was scheduled for Saturday, February 15 at 9:30 pm.
