Emirati Investment Group Eyes Stake in Moroccan Football Club HUSA

The Hassania Union Sport Agadir (HUSA) club could be taken over. An Emirati company is about to acquire shares in the sports team. For now, nothing is official yet and the discussions are ongoing.
It is the City Football Group investment fund, a company managed by the Emirati holding company Abu Dhabi United Group (ADUG), which invests in several international clubs like the English club Manchester City, reports SRNT News, citing the vice-president of HUSA, Mohamed Ali Bouhajra.
"Yes, indeed, we are finalizing an agreement with this company that wants to buy between 20 and 30% of the shares of our public limited sports company," he said, specifying that "nothing is official yet, but the discussions are going well."
In addition to this operation, the Emirati officials, seduced by the city’s tourism potential, also want to ally with a strong economic partner, namely the Akwa group, Bouhajra continued, adding that the latter also wants to acquire between 20 and 30% of the shares of the Agadir club.
In the long term, "Hassania will benefit from this agreement, especially on the technical level. These groups will help us make high-caliber recruitments and also improve the quality of the training of our technical staff, our executives and our young players," the official said happily.
