Emirates to Cut 9,000 Jobs Amid Pandemic, Moroccan Staff May Be Affected

The airline Emirates has reduced its workforce by 10% and plans to eliminate up to 15% (9,000 positions) due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Are its Moroccan employees also affected by this wave of layoffs?
Like many airlines, Emirates has not been spared by the health crisis related to the coronavirus. This company had grounded its planes at the end of March before resuming its activities two weeks later.
Emirates has reduced its activity and plans to serve 58 cities by mid-August, compared to 157 previously. Similarly, the company has reduced its workforce by 10% and intends to eliminate up to 15% (9,000 positions), said Tim Clark, CEO of the company. Since Moroccans are also part of its workforce, they may also lose their jobs.
